Paul Rtterer GLEN ULLIN - Paul Fitterer, 94, Glen Ullin, died Aug. 5, 1995, in . Glen Ullin. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MDT Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Glen Ullin, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the church. A wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Paul was born April 13, 1901, at Glen Ullin, to Adam and Mary (Gartner) Fitterer. He was raised and educated in the St. Joe area, rural Glen Ullin. He worked on the family farm until his marriage to Rose Hertz, Nov. 3, 1925, at St. Joe's. They stayed on the farm for a while until they moved to a farm eight miles southwest of St. Joe's. In 1948 they had to move their farm buildings due to the construction of the Heart Butte Dam. They retired in 1971 and moved into Glen Ullin. Paul entered the Marian Manor Nursing Home, Glen Ullin, in June 1987, where he has resided since. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and St. Joe Men's Society. He is survived by his wife, Rose; one son, Gerald, Alderwood, Wash.; three daughters, Agnes Schaaf, Glen Ullin, Germaine Lewis, Bismarck, and Lorraine Steckler, Wilton; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ed, Glen Ullin, Mike, Bismarck, and Tony, Spokane, Wash.; and three sisters. Elizabeth Fischer, Glen Ullin, Anna Fitterer, Bismarck, and Cecilia Emter, Spokane, Wash. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Frank, Joe and Leo.
