Deceased Name: BRANDTNER
BRANDTNER, Theda (Metzger) - Of Davison, age 86, went to be with the Lord and her family on September 14, 2003 at the Genesys Convalescent Center in Grand Blanc. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10AM Wednesday, September 17, 2003 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison, Rev. Fr. Andrew Czajkowski celebrant. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Vernon, MI. Mrs. Brandtner will lie in state at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 E. Davison Rd., Davison, where the family will receive visitors 11-2 and 5-9PM Tuesday. The family will also receive visitors at the church Wednesday from 9AM until the time of the Mass. A Scripture Service will be held 6PM Tuesday. Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Theda was born May 16, 1917 in Flint, MI to the late Charles and Helena Metzger. She retired from Standard Oil Company and Leach Insurance Company and was a past board member of Family Community Credit Union. She served as a Lector at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church for more than 20 years. Theda was a very loving wife, mother and Nana, and leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Harold; son, Paul (Joan) Seeley of Otisville; daughter, Elaine Speace-Shuck of Flint; step-daughters, Kathy (Bill) Fitch of Gaines, Cindy (Tom) Jenkins of TN; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Correne (George) Butts of Burton; and many nieces and nephews; and her special Monday Night Bingo friends at the Davison Knights of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marlene Timlick, son, James Seeley, parents, brother, Charles Metzger, sister, Norrene Metzger, sons-in-law, Vern Speace and Keith Shuck. A Special Thank You to the staff at Genesys Convalescent Center. She will always be with us, and lovingly remembered by her family.
