Wertz Sr. in 1957; and two sisters. Surviving are three sons and two daughters, Robert, Wilmington, Del.; LaVerne Milnes, Pittsburgh; William H. Wertz Jr.; Glennis McConahy, and Donald, all of the Los Angeles area; and a brother, Clifford Shanks of Newton Falls, Ohio. There are nine grandchildren. Private arrangements in California.
