Bio: Margaret Schauls, 90, died November 22, 2003, at the United Pioneer home in Luck, where she had resided since 1988. Margaret Lundeen was born on October 22, 1913, the eighth of 12 children born to Frank and Alma (Carlson) Lundeen, who farmed west of Frederic. She attended high school in Frederic and was the first in her family to graduate. As teenagers, she and her sister, Sigrid, sang at many area dances. It was at one of these dances that she met Joe Schauls. They married on her 21st birthday and she moved to the Schaul's family farm in Atlas. In 1908, thay moved to Lakeland Township and in 1958 to the village of Luck, where they remained.Margaret wrote first local township news and later Luck news for both the Luck Enterprise Herald and Inter-County Leader for many years. She had been a craft leader at the Pioneer Home and was a member of the Luck Homemakers and Atlas Ladies Aid, where she had many friends. She planned the yearly family vacations, which grew longer after retirement.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Annie, Walter, Wallace, Walfred, Sigrid, Francis and two infant sisters; granddaughter, Nicole Bitney; and great-great-granddaughter, Alexis Marie Siemay.Margaret is survived by daughter, Joan (Jerry) Shull of White Bear Lake and their children, Darla Johnson (children, Jeremy, Jason and Michael and special friend John), Darcy and marlin Shull (Joseph, Nathan, Faith and Rebekah), Durene and Tom Clymer (christine); daughter, Jerilyn (Tom) Bitney of Shell Lake (Kathryn, Anne and Kelsey); brother, Lloyd (Vi) of Frederick, Ruby Bjorklund of duluth, MN, Ardis (Hank) Marek of Grantsburg and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
