Allen was a well-respected craftsman of old-style integrity. In 1952 he helped start a shutter business that later became known as Custom-Bilt Shutter Shop, which he owned and operated for 48 yrs. Allen was a member of the Reagan Lodge No. 1037 A.F.&A.M., The Supreme Council 33, A.&A.S.R., Arabia Shrine Center A.A.O.N.M.S. Allen is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Margaret, two daughters, Sharon McMillon and husband Gary of Houston, Carol Reimer and husband Joe of Branson, MO, and one son, Ron Guidry and wife Lisa of Houston, and grandchildren, Dawn Dolan and husband Bryan, Karen McMillon, Rachel and Joshua Rheinlander, Rebekah, Abigail, John Allen, Stephen, Hannah, Michael, Zoe, and Liberty Guidry.
