I am the son of this Gerstle (I314060). I thought I would provide some
details for you to add to the website.
Gerstle (I314060)'s name is John (Jack) Emmett Gerstle, Junior. Born
1/27/1938, Louisville, Kentucky, USA. He is living in Louisville still.
His brothers are Richard Gerstle and Thomas Gerstle. I see that Tom
updated his own information.
My dad has been married 4 times, and has 4 children (two daughters, two
sons) and several step children.
His first wife was Mary Elizabeth Glasford. I do not know her birth and
death dates. She passed away only a few years ago (2018 or 2019). They had
two daughters: Patricia and Theresa.
Patricia married Kevin McDowell and they have two daughters, Sean and
Rachel. All live in Lousiville.
Theresa has had three childen - Nicholas (who died 2 years ago), Bethany,
and Amanda (was adopted as a small child). All live in Louisville.
After my dad divorced Mary, he met my mother Ruth Darlene Hardy in
Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born 10/23/1948 and died 1/27?/2009. They
had two sons.
My name is John Emmett Gerstle, III. I was born 9/10/1969 in Fort Wayne,
Indiana, US, and am presently living in Atlanta, Georgia. I am married to
Deborah Anne Martin (8/21/2004) and we have three sons, all born in
Atlanta, Georgia. Martin Alexander Gerstle was born 3/10/2005; Aaron Jacob
Gerstle was born 6/14/2007; and Ian Thomas Gerstle was born 8/9/2011. We
have genealogy information on the Ancestry and 23andMe websites (via DNA
testing).
My brother is Danial Joseph Tsali Gerstle. He was born 10/28/1973 in
Hamilton, Ohio. He presently is living in Berlin, Germany. He knows far
more about our geneology than I.
After my father divorced my mother in 1977, he married Helen Lorraine Mock
until she passed away in January 1998. She had 3 sons and 3 daughters from
two previous marriages. After a time, he married his present wife Nancy.
She is living in Bowling Green, Kentucky at the present. She has a son and
a daughter from her previous marriage; her husband passed away in a
military incident in the 1970s, I believe.
That's a lot of information. I don't have all the details at hand, but, if
needed, I can find what's needed.

JARVIS, MARY GLASF0RD "BETZ", Of Louisville, passed away unexpectedly at home on September 4, 2017. Fondly referred to as Betz by her family, Mary Elizabeth was a graduate of Mercy Academy and St. James School. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Catherine Dahl Glasford. Mary is survived by daughters, Patricia McDowell (Kevin) and Theresa Gerstle; grandchildren, Nicholas Mallin and Bethani Dahl, for whom she was guardian; and granddaughters, Sean and Rachel McDowell and Amanda Williams. She is also survived by siblings, Bill Glasford (Stephani), John Glasford (Margaret), Cathy Ezelle (Sam), and Bob Glasford (Sandy). She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, who will miss her dearly. While Mary held many retail cashier positions and also worked for Southern Bell after high school, her passion was entertaining. She played the piano and enjoyed performing all her life. At Mercy, she received a music scholarship and played for many school events, including her own commencement. Mary also sang in the Bell Singers employee choir at the telephone company. Later, she played private parties and led sing-alongs at nursing homes. She loved going out dancing, as well. Outgrowing childhood shyness, Mary also loved to talk. She was a sweet soul with a huge, kind heart who never met a stranger. Her funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, at St. James Catholic Church, Bardstown Road at Edenside Avenue. Visitation will be 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Friday, September 8, at Embry-Bosse Funeral Home, 2723 Preston Highway. Private burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
