Bio: Seth Covell Sleezer, Jr., age 61, of Yorkville, IL, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 9, 2007 at the Edward Hospital, in Naperville, IL. He was born on April 26, 1946 in Aurora, IL, the son of Seth C. and Lois L. (Kahle) Sleezer.Seth was united in marriage on July 12, 1968 to the former Kay E. Wissmiller, the mother of his children, and they spent the next 13 happy years together until her passing on August 25, 1981. He was later united in marriage on November 10, 2005, to the former Cindy Reeve, and they spent four wonderful years of their lives together. Mr. Sleezer was a member of the Cross Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL. He was a graduate of Illinois State University in Bloomington-Normal, IL. Seth taught Agriculture at the Mazon High School, in Mazon, IL, for 2 _ years. He was a longtime farmer, having begun farming in 1971. Mr. Sleezer was a member of the Federal Land Bank Board, and was a former member of the Yorkville Board of Education. Seth was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.He is survived by his wife, Cindy Sleezer, of Yorkville, IL; his children, Seth (Connie) Sleezer, VI, of Yorkville, IL, Pamela (Mark) Peas, of Wabash, Indiana, and Justine (Jason) Brummel, of Yorkville, IL; his grandchildren, Jacklyn, Jared, Jayden, and Jaxton Peas, of Wabash, Indiana, Sydney Sleezer, of Yorkville, IL, and Kellen Brummel, of Yorkville, IL, with a new little Sleezer soon-to-be; his brother, Dean Sleezer, of Yorkville; his sister, Judy Sleezer, of Yorkville, IL; as well as several nieces, nephews and step-children who will miss him.He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay E. Sleezer, on August 25, 1981; his father, Seth C. Sleezer, on January 5, 2007, and his mother, Lois L. Sleezer, on November 6, 1998.A private family funeral was held. Friends are asked to gather at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2007 at the Sleezer Family Farm, 7214 Caton Farm Rd., in Yorkville, IL, to Celebrate and Honor Seth's life.Arrangements by Nelson Funeral Homes & Crematory, (630) 553-7611.
