Bio: born "Johann Albrecht Böh"Place of Death: Presbyterian Hospital, Allegheny City (later annexed by City of Pittsburgh)Place of Interment: (new) St. Philomena's Cemetery Established by the city of Pittsburgh's first Catholic, German-speaking congregation, St. Philomena's Parish. Parish established in 1838 and initially met for worship on the second floor of an old cotton factory. A new church was dedicated 4 October 1844. St. Philomena's established a cemetery on one acre of ground located between Gardner and Lowery Streets, Troy Hill . First burial in 1842. In 1862 another small plot was purchased, bringing the combined acreage to just over two acres. The cemetery was almost full when a much larger St. Philomena's Cemetery, Ross Township, was organized in September 1887 (the Ross Township location later became known as North Side Catholic Cemetery, and is currently called Christ our Redeemer Cemetery). After the new St. Philomena's Cemetery was established, the city of Allegheny ordered the removal of bodies from the original two cemetery plots along with removal of bodies from the adjoining Smithfield Cemetery, for sanitary reasons. The former St. Philomena Cemetery grounds were sold to St. Joseph Orphanage, which converted the area to a park (Asylum Park) after all the bodies were exhumed and transferred mostly to the new St. Philomena's Cemetery. Today, the park is called "Gardner Field".Siblings resided in California, Kansas and New York.First Cousins: Mary Anna Boeh Feldschneider Fackler (1816-1900), Cincinnati, OH; Melchior Boeh (1819-1881), Cincinnati, OH; Elizabeth Boeh Archinger (1826-1888), Cincinnati, OH; and Barbara Eva Boeh Filer (1830-1904), Cynthiana, KY!st Cousins, 1x Removed: John Lear (1822-1884), Wapakoneta, OH; Anna Maria Lear Graff (1811-1900) Wapakoneta, OH2nd cousin: Valentine Boeh (1840-1931) Cincinnati, OH3rd cousin: Daniel Boeh (1867-1951) Ashland, OH
