Bio: Mildred Irene Schlosser, 101, of Rib Lake, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018 at Rib Lake Health Services, where she had resided for the last five years. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 7 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake with Father Otto Bucher officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the mass at Good Shepherd Church. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mildred?s grandsons, David Schlosser, Steve Schlosser and Craig Schlosser; great-granddaughter, Anna Klemann; great-grandson, Daniel Schlosser; and grandson-in-law, David Miess. Mildred was born on March 23, 1917 to Andrew and Alma Johnson. She was the ninth child of ten siblings. She attended Sunnyside School in the Ogema area and dreamed of one day becoming a teacher. Mildred married Raymond W. Schlosser on April 27, 1936. The couple settled in the town of Rib Lake and lived there for 70 plus years. Two sons were born, Ray Jr. and Russell. Mildred was a homemaker, a master pie baker, gardener, wife, mother and good friend to all who knew her. Ray and Mildred were married for 63 years. The couple loved to dance! Mildred enjoyed trips to casinos, garage sales and visits from relatives and friends. She enjoyed card games with neighbor, Pauline, Chinese restaurants and shopping for pretty clothes. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, even two great-great-grandchildren the most. She always made sure they had enough well-wrapped gifts under the tree at Christmas time. Mildred will be dearly missed by her son, Raymond Jr. (Mary Ann) Schlosser of Rib Lake; daughter-in-law, Nancy Schlosser of Plover; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and also special nieces, Kathleen Rindt, Catherine Siemeck and Sharon Neumann. Mildred was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Sr.; her son, Russell; her parents, Andrew and Alma; and siblings, Lillian, Elmer, Ruth, Walter, Bert, Alice, Arthur, Minnie and Virginia. She was of the Catholic faith and a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church.Star News [ Medford Wisconsin] Dec 4 2018
