Lyndon--Norma L. Allison, 98, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. She was born on July 22, 1921, on the family farm near Vassar, Kansas, the daughter of Henry and Edna (Kraft) Scheid.
Norma grew up around Vassar and had lived southeast of Lyndon for over 60 years.
Norma worked on the farm, was a homemaker, had worked at Peterson's Nursing Home in Osage City for a time and was the organist for the Melvern and Quenemo United Methodist Churches. She had also volunteered at Help House in Lyndon.
On May 17, 1946, Norma was married to Ed Allison in Vassar.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Ed, on December 17, 2006.
Norma is survived by her sister, Lois Neilson of Pomona; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Norma will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, October 21, at the Melvern Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:30pm on Sunday at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Memorial contributions may be made to Help House, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS. 66451.
