He worked for Monsanto for 38 years retiring in 1978 as Director of Design. He was an active volunteer in many St. Louis organizations, parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes, University City, watercolor artist and creative thinker. He survived the polio epidemic of 1932 and was active with the St. Louis Post-polio Support Group.
