She was born Aug. 7, 1930, in Avonmore, the daughter of the late Clarence A. and Emily W. Kunz Haney. She was a homemaker who loved gardening, her flowerbeds and, most of all, spending time and taking care of her husband and children. She was of the Jehovah's Witnesses faith, belonging to the Blairsville Kingdom Hall. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, John R. McQuaide; 12 children, Betty Coleman and her husband, James, John McQuaide and his wife, Diane, Kevin McQuaide and his wife, Noreen, Carolyn McQuaide, all of Clarksburg, Colleen Sorbin and her husband, Fred, of Indiana, Anita Weimer and her husband, Rick, of Blairsville, Diane Prato and her husband, John, and Brad McQuaide and his wife, Cathy, all of Clarksburg, Charlotte McIntire and her husband, Jeff, of Brush Valley, Tom McQuaide and his wife, Belinda, of Oklahoma Borough, Audra Horm and her husband, Peter, of Falls Creek, and Heather Bash and her husband, Greg, of Glenn Campbell; 18 grandchildren; and a sister, Virginia Couch, of Avonmore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Haney. At Janet's request, there will be no public visitation. Family and friends are encouraged to attend a memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2011, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 450 East Pike, Indiana, Pa. Services will be conducted by Tim Petrus. Arrangements have been entrusted to the KELLY L. CORRIDONI FUNERAL HOME LTD., 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore.
