Jacob J. Ruffing Dies Suddenly Southside Man Stricken With.Heart Attack Was 79 Jacob J. Rufftog. 79, died suddenly at 6 15 o'clock this morning at his home, 10 Hemlock street. Mr. Ruffing had tended to the furnace, and complained of -feeling ill when he returned upstairs He had been under the care of a physician for a heart ailment for sometime, and the doctor was summoned, but he died before medical aid reached-him. Born in Paterson, he was the son of the late Jacob and Adeline Kuhien Ruffing. He was educated al St. . Johns parochial school, and in the public schools of the Richfield section of Clifton where he made his home for a number of years. He returned to Paterson fifty-threg years ago. For forty years prior to his retirement in 1922. he ws machinist in the Kingsland shops of the D. L. & W. He was a member of St. Boniface church and its Holy Name society, snd was well known in South Paterson. Funeral arrangements will be made under the direction of Hemy Hanstein and Sons, and rites are expected to be held Friday. Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth Coons, two sons Walter J.. of Pine Brook, and Edward B. of Montclair: tyvo brothers. Joseph G. of Buffslo, and Peter N of Paterson, three sisters.
