John was a veteran of WWII, serving his country from 1942-1945, belonging to the 17th Airborne Division Regiment 513 Parachute Infantry 3rd Battalian HQ Company. The family would like to thank the staff at the Canandaigua VA Hospital Building 8A for their compassionate, dedicated and loving care. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 23rd at 1PM in the Chapel of John M. Hedges Funeral Home, 1717 Portland Ave. (just North of E. Ridge Rd.). Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
