Mary Jane Messmer DICKINSON, N.D. Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Jane Messmer, 68, will be celebrated Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, at 10 a.m., at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with the Rev. Jeff Zwack as celebrant. Inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be Sunday at Price-Murphy Funeral Home from noon to 9 p.m., with a Rosary and Vigil Service at 4 p.m. She died Nov. 30, 2006, in Casper. She was born Aug. 24, 1938, in New England, to Michael and Katherine (Linhardt) Martin. She attended school to the 8th grade at St. Mary's in New England and then moved to Portland, Ore., and graduated from high school. After graduation, she moved to California and was married and later divorced. She then moved back to Dickinson, where she had two children. She married Frank Messmer on Oct. 19, 1963, at St. Wences-laus Catholic Church in Dickinson. She was employed at CBS 2 Network until February 2006, when she retired because of health reasons. They then moved to Casper to be closer to MESSMER their daughter and family. She was a member of the Eagles Women's Auxiliary. She loved to bowl, play cards, Scrabble and spend time with her four granddaughters, where she wore the "Nana" banner with pride. Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Taylor and her husband of Casper; four granddaughters, all of Casper, brothers and sisters, Anna Wallachy, Portland, Ore., John Martin and his wife, Bismarck, N.D., and Emma Muir, Ocean-side, Calif., and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in July 2006, son, daughters, three brothers and three stepbrothers.
