Bio: Carpenter, Shirley A., 69, of Magee Rd., St. Clairsville, died Thursday, September 27, 2007 at Wheeling Hospital.She was born August 7, 1938 in St. Clairsville, Ohio, daughter of the late Harry and Leota Gilham VanNestShirley was a Home Interiors Consultant for 30 years. She was a Flushing High School graduate; an Elliott School of Business alumnus; and member of East Richland Friends Church.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Thomas VanNest.Surviving are her loving husband, Clyde E. Carpenter; a son, Scott E. Carpenter and his wife Carol of Pendleton, Indiana; three grandchildren, Benjamin, Megan and Vera; two sisters, Gloria Jean Ford of Lorain, Ohio and Darlene Demarchi of Amherst, Ohio; many nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev.
