On December 31, 1932, she married William Wengert Summerwill and moved to Sioux City where she was a member of Junior League. She moved with her husband to Iowa City in 1938 and lived there until moving to Cedar Rapids in 1997."In Iowa City she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Chapter KQ, P.E.O. She was a volunteer at Mercy and Veterans? Hospitals.
