Obituary for Edwin Alfred Meisner
MEISNER
Edwin Alfred, 91 of Louisville, returned to the Lord on Thursday, December 17, 2015.
He was born in the Worthington area of Jefferson County, and grew up on the family farm in Pewee Valley, son of the late Edwin Frank Meisner and Anna Mae Liebert Meisner. He attended Crestwood High School and was an excellent baseball pitcher in his younger days, loved attending catholic picnics, was a member of the WOW Club and attended their dances, a Retiree of National Distillery and a farmer. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 37 years, Lorene Huttash Meisner; and a sister, Sara Luise Culbertson.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Louise Lyons (Edward); granddaughter Della Rose F. Lyons; brother-in-law, Robert Culbertson; nieces & nephews, David Myers (Creasy), Vicki Sue Forrest (Dale), Mark Myers(Theresa), Jeff Myers, Anne Wennerstrom (Martin), John Culbertson, Greg Culbertson, and Dreux Culbertson (Frankie); and several great- nieces & nephews.
His Funeral Mass will be noon, Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 509 Breckenridge Lane with burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Pewee Valley. Visitation will be 3 to 8pm Tuesday at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, ?In St. Matthews?.
