- [S927] Obituary.
Dale Anthony Kraft 1950 ~ 2010 On Friday evening, January 15, 2010, I was driving to dinner with my wife Linda, and suddenly the plan was changed, and I was called home against my wishes.I have lived a very full life, born in Bismarck, North Dakota to very loving parents, Sylvester and Frances Kraft. My four sisters and two brothers and I were Army brats and lived around the world in many interesting places. I began hunting big game and birds at an early age with my dad, and have continued to enjoy the sport with great friends throughout my life. Loved football and was planning on enjoying a great Super Bowl. I was privileged to serve my country in the Army, stationed in Turkey. I worked hard to obtain an education at Judge Memorial, Westminster College and the University of Utah, earning my bachelors degree. My 30 year career at L-3 Communications has been rewarding, challenging and satisfying, I will miss it and my colleagues, some who have become my best friends. I married Linda in September of 1986 and we have remained close friends through out our relationship. Linda has shared her family with me, and I was able to earn my most beloved title of "Papa," to our seven grandchildren. Dale is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Linda. His sisters Sylvia Wanlass, Benita (Jeff) Brinkerhoff, Shirley Simpler and Sharon (James) Rawlins. Brothers Duane (Cindy) Kraft and Jerome Kraft. Stepchildren Todd (Michelle) Cowan, Chris Cowan and Cori (Brita) Cowen. His seven wonderful grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday 12:00 p.m. (Noon) at Utah Veterans Memorial Park Chapel, 17111 South Camp Williams Road where friends may call from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Riverton, Utah. We love and will miss you.
