Ed Wehner officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-noon Friday at Eastgate Funeral Service, where a rosary will be said at 7:30 tonight. Visitation will also be held from 3-4 p.m. today at St. Vincent's Care Center.Simon was born Oct. 26, 1910, at Orrin, the son of Wendelin and Phillippina (Duchscherer) Schall. He was raised and educated inthe Rugby area. He worked as a carpenter in several states and returned to Bismarck where he helped to build one of the additions to St. Alexius Hospital. On Dec. 29, 1947, he married Katherine Riehl at Bismarck. They continued to live in Bismarck where he continued to work as a carpenter. Simon worked as a custodian at Northridge Elementary School from the early 1960s until his retirement in the mid-1970s.Simon was a member of the Eagles Club and the Germans From Russia.
