Bertha Krank, 89, Dickinson, died peacefully on Monday, July 4, 2005, at Country House Residences, Dickinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a. m. Friday, July 8, 2005 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Jeff Zwack celebrating. Interment will be in St. Joseph?s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be 12 noon to 9 p. m. , Thursday, July 7, 2005, at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, with a rosary being said at 7 p. m. Bertha Guthmiller was born to Christ and Elizabeth Guthmiller on December 25, 1915 in Taylor, North Dakota. She married Leo Krank on June 6, 1939, and farmed in the Dickinson area until retiring into Dickinson in 1977. Bertha was an avid gardner and flower arranger. She was proud of the many trophies she was awarded and the Master Gardner designation she and Leo completed together. She was also a long-time member of Catholic Daughters, St. Ann?s Altar Society and the Queen of Peace Parish Circles. She is survived by: four children, Lee (Carole) Krank, Karen (Doug) Gramlow, Jan (Frank) Sobolik, and Bert (Maureen) Krank; thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren; her sisters, Lydia Strom, Kathryn Conradson, Eleanor Hanks, Elsie Powell and Leona Schmidt; two brothers, Jack and Henry Guthmiller, and one sister-in-law, Elsie Guthmiller. She was preceded in death by: husband, Leo; brothers, Christ and Phillip; sisters, Eva, Magdalena, Rose and Pauline. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Diabetes Association or the donors choice.
