Robert E. Zeisneiss, 86, passed away Wednesday, June 22 at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 26 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Nevada. Funeral mass is at 10 a.m. Monday, June 27 at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Colo. Interment in the Saint James Catholic Cemetery in Colo.
Robert was born in Marshall County on December 3, 1924 to Wilpert and Lydia (Busse) Zeisneiss.
Robert is survived by his wife, Dorthy, of 61 years; and his 11 children, Carol (Jim) Eyanson, of Nevada, Claudia (Cliff) Dalbey, of Collins, Curtis (Nancy) Zeisneiss, of Colo, Cathy (Gene) Hagist, of Altoona, Chris (Chub) Myers, of Nevada, Clark (Robin) Zeisneiss, of Nevada, Calvin (Sue) Zeisneiss, of Colo, Carla (Dave) Sidles, of Omaha, Neb., Clay Zeisneiss, of State Center, Charlotte Zeisneiss, of Colo, Carter (Tonya) Zeisneiss, of Hubbard; 17 grandchildren; ten great- grandchildren; and by one sister, Sarah (Sam) Mattingly, of Toledo.
Funeral arrangements are with Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing. Memorial contributions may be given to the Story County 4-H Foundation.
