Scheetz, 86 YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at Fox Funeral Home and at 9:30 in St. Patrick Church for Anne L. Scheetz, 86, of 2516 Volney Road, who died Wednesday morning at home. Mrs. Scheetz was born Aug. 31, 1914, in Newton County, Ind., a daughter of John and Katherine Bower McGraw, and came to Youngstown in 1937. She received her registered nurse degree at St. Joseph in South Bend, Ind., in 1935, a bachelor's degree from St. Mary of Notre Dame in 1937 and a master's degree in guidance and counseling in 1974 from Youngstown State University. She taught nursing at St. Elizabeth Health Center from 1937 to 1941 and from 1960 to 1969. She then taught nursing at Youngstown State University from 1969 to 1979, when she retired. She was a member of St. Patrick Church. Her husband, Walter J., whom she married Dec. 27, 1941, died Sept. 30, 1971. She leaves two daughters, Kathryn Flesse of Strongsville and Mary Scheetz of Youngstown; two sons, Thomas E. of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Robert V. of Youngstown; a brother, John McGraw of Goodland, Ind.; two sisters, Dorothy McGraw of Goodland and Agnes Snyder of Lafayette, Ind.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A sister, Lillian Downes, and a brother, Gerald McGraw, are deceased. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
