Bio: Pauline ?Pauli? Galster, 75, Dickinson, died surrounded by family on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at her home. Pauli?s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 22, 2018 at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Todd Kreitinger as the celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Patrick?s Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., Deacon Ron Keller presiding at Ladbury Funeral Service. Pauline Reisenauer came into this world to join her brothers and sisters on August 3, 1942 to the proud parents of Alex and Mary (Scheetz) Reisenauer in New England. Growing up on a farm along with her sisters and brothers northwest of New England, she did what all farm kids do, helped with the farming, driving the tractors as well as milking cows. Pauline attended twelve years of school at St. Mary?s in New England. After graduation, Pauli went to work for the Water Treatment Plant in Dickinson. On June 8, 1961, Pauline married Donald Galster, her husband of 56 years. After marriage, she decided to further her education and entered the Nursing Program at Dickinson State College and obtained her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She began working at the St. Joseph?s Hospital in the Obstetrics Department. As her family started to grow, she realized she needed to spend more time and the holidays with her growing boys. Within her working career she not only worked at St. Joseph?s Hospital, but at Woody?s Feed & Grain, German Hungarian Lodge as well as the Elks Lodge. In 1984, Pauli and Don opened Don?s Conoco where she did the accounting books for the business. In 2006, Pauline retired and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, who were the spark in her eyes, attending their school events, and sporting events. She really enjoyed making their favorite food and having it ready for them when they dropped by. Pauli is survived by her husband, Don; two sons, Dr. Shannon (Audra) Galster, Dickinson, and Sheldon (Nancy) Galster, Dickinson; daughter-in-law, SunA Galster, Florida; grandchildren, Aspen Galster, Fargo, Chance Galster, Dickinson, Ashley (Josh) McAlister, Fargo and Dainara Galster, Fargo; one brother, Edward (Barb) Reisenauer, Dickinson; and two sisters, Bee Rettinger, Dickinson and Carrie (Gerald) Praus, Dickinson; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son, Shane Galster; parents, Alex and Mary Reisenauer; brother, Lawrence (Drucilla) Reisenauer; sister, Elizabeth (John) Billman and Philomena Reisenauer. It is preferred that memorials be given to the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan or the Veterans Memorial Fund.
