Minnick, 84 of rural Ohio died Tuesday July 31, 2018 at Heritage Health in Walnut. She was born on August 1, 1933 in Atkinson, IL the daughter of Charles and Mayme (Wirth) Plasschaert. She married Robert Minnick on October 1, 1955 in Sheffield, IL. Lois was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ohio and of the O.C.C.W. She had enjoyed gardening and canning. Her greatest love however, was that for her family and taking care of them. Survivors include her husband, Bob; their children, Linda Minnick, Charles (Tracey) Minnick, Deb (Kevin) Guinn and Kevin (Christine) Minnick; her sister, Sharon Calsyn; her brother, Harvey Plasschaert and 8 grandchildren, Drew Minnick, Tyler Minnick, Beau Minnick, Kalin Westerman, Jordan Minnick, Jarod Guinn, Grace Minnick and Lila Minnick and 1 step grandchild, Tanner Guinn She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister and one granddaughter, Lillian Minnick. Visitation will be held on Thursday August 2, 2018 from 5-7 PM at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut, with the Rosary being recited at 4:45 PM. A prayer service will be held on Friday morning at 9:30 AM at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut, followed by the Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with the Reverend Thomas Shaw, Celebrant officiating. Burial will conclude at St. Mary Cemetery in Ohio. Memorials in her memory to the O.C.C.W. of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church would be appreciated.Garland Funeral Home, Gravesite Details Not sure if this is the correct cemetery.
