CONLEY Clara Cecilia Wirth was born near Geneseo, Illinois, November 22, 1872 and was united in marriage to William Conley June 2, 1889, twenty-six years ago. She departed this life on June 30th, 1915 at New Bedford, Ill. She was injured by the kick of a cow, which broke one of her limbs just above the ankle, some six weeks previous to her death, which presumably contributed largely to the cause of her death. Mr. and Mrs. Conley were the parents of eleven children, all of whom are living, but one daughter, who died in infancy. Those living are as follows: Thomas J. of Deer Grove, Mrs. Minnie Overly of Flandreau, S.D., George of New Bedford, Mrs. Gertrude Lindlof of Tampico, and William, Sema, Laura, Dewey, Ernest and Charles at home. Besides husband and children, two brothers, William and John Wirth of Sheffield, and two sisters, Mrs. Lena Clements and Mrs. Elizabeth Sarter of Geneseo, who mourn her loss. During her life she was always thoughtful of her family and was always doing some kindness for her friends and neighbors. She was always ready to lend a helping hand in time of need. She was a good wife and a loving and indulgent mother. We realize how hard it is to take this dear wife and loving mother, thought we feel she is at rest. The funeral services were held at the Christian church in New Bedford, Rev. F.W. Calkins, officiating. The pall bearers were Mrs. Small, Mrs. Frank Miller, Mrs. Willard Bard, Mrs. H. Whipple, Mrs. Earl Peterson and Mrs. Henry Dahl. The burial was in the Walnut cemetery. Card of thanks. We wish to take this way to express our thanks to the dear, kind neighbors and friends who labored and contributed in so many ways to help us in this time of sorrow. Their kindness will never be forgotten. Wm. Conley and family.
