Carolyn Sue "Susie" Kalb, 45, 2337 Sandra Dr., died at 7:10 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 1992, in her mother's home in New Washington where she had been staying. She had been in failing health since 1987.
Mrs. Kalb was born Dec. 27, 1946, in Bucyrus to Urban C. Studer, who preceded her in death in 1991, and Ladora J. (Swartzmiller) Studer, who survives at 823 S. Kibler St., New Washington. She was married July 8, 1972, to David M. Kalb, who survives.
Also surviving her are 19 nieces and nephews and 11 sisters and brothers, Urban H. Studer of Bucyrus, Mrs. Philip (Marjorie) Powell of Bucyrus, Jean Studer of Galion, Mrs. Roy (Doris) King of New Washington, Mrs. Louis (Julia) Sanders of Attica, James L. Studer and his wife Valerie of Willard, Mrs. Clement (Therese) Karl of North Auburn, Mrs. Russell (Brenda) Kehres of North Auburn, Patricia A. Studer of Columbus, Mrs. Greg (Shirley) Rotruck of Attica and Mark A. Studer, at home. Preceding her in death was a sister-in-law, Diane L. Studer, who died in 1991.
A lifelong area resident, she attended New Washington schools and graduated from Buckeye Central High School in 1964. She was with the Telegraph-Forum for 23 years, retiring as office manager in 1987 due to ill health.
She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the Rosary Altar Society and the Indian Trails Doll Club of Bucyrus.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Catholic Church by Fr. James F. Risacher. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery, New Washington.
Friends may call at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Rosary services will be recited at the funeral home Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. and at 8 p.m. Morning prayer service will be held at the funeral home at 9:40 a.m. Thursday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Trinity Church or the Cancer Society.
