Karp Oct 28,1946 - April 23,2014 Resident of Concord Loving husband, father, brother and friend, Robert Eugene Karp passed on April 23, 2014 after his battle with cancer.A native San Franciscan, Bob was born on October 28, 1946. His younger years were spent hanging out on San Bruno Avenue with his parents Robert and Elizabeth Karp, six sisters and friends. After graduating Riordan High School in 1964, Bob went to City College where he met the love of his life, Rae Oretski. They married in 1969. Bob joined the U.S. Air Force and had the privilege of serving his country and travelling to Guam. He was an electrician for over 38 years having careers at Mare Island and Bonneville Power.Bob enjoyed camping, barbecuing, playing guitar, Hot Rods, and tinkering with computers. He took pride in his children and all of their accomplishments in life.Bob is survived by his wife Rae, children Brad and Chandra, daughter in law Wendy, granddaughter Anastasia and sisters, Chris, Liz, Marian, Cathy and Barbara.A Celebration of Bob's life will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Queen of All Saints Church, 2390 Grant Street, Concord.
