Survived by wife, Marilyn Rauber, Dansville; children, Denise (Stephen) Smyder, Dansville, Karen Koch, Fairport, Judith (Jay) Hart, Columbia, SC; Steven Rauber (Michelle Mason), Dansville; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 step-granddaughter; 1 step great-grandson; sisters, Carolyn Hitchcock, Dansville, Maryann Ehrmentraut, Rochester, Peggy Rauber, Rochester; sev. nieces and nephews.
Calling hours Friday 1-3 and 6-8 at the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home, Wayland. Funeral service with military honors will be at 2:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.

Dansville/Greece: On 6/12/11 at age 69. Former Executive Director of the Five Rivers Council of Boy Scouts of America. Brother of Joseph "Jerry" Rauber, Carolyn Hitchcock both of Dansville, Mary Ann Ehrementraut and Margaret "Peggy" Rauber both of Rochester. John is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
Calling Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., in Dansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00am at St. Mary's Church in Dansville. Spencerport: Thursday February 17, 2011 at age 97. She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore Rauber; son, Christopher. Ruth is survived by her children, Theodore (Linda) Rauber and Richard (Sandra) Rauber; 7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
