Paul Allen Heer, 62, of Jamestown, ND, died Monday, March 27th, 2017.
Paul was born September 18th, 1954, son of Donna and Wilbert Heer and the beloved grandson of Gus and Angela Wiese. He grew up and attended school in Jamestown, ND. Paul spent much of his childhood on his Grandparent?s farm where he learned to love and respect the land.
Paul worked for Northwestern Bell following high school, he later came home to farm and raise cattle with his Grandparents in rural Jamestown. The farm was a very special place where he and his wife, Lola, raised their two children, Liza and Zach.
Paul was a self-taught technology wizard. He owned and operated Heer Electronics and then worked for Midwest Business Systems. He then went on to work for Oneok Piplines doing networking and communications in the Bakken oil field of North Dakota, to the present time of his illness.
Paul never stopped learning and lived for a challenge. He believed in hard work, helping others, a job well done, and riding his Harley every chance he could. He always said there was nothing like it! He enjoyed planning motorcycle trips for Lola and himself and many others, whether it was to Jud for Sunday dinner or to Niagara Falls to see the beautiful country side. He could always find the ?best home cooked? restaurants in the smallest towns.
He treasured his children, Liza and Zach, always teaching them to be independent, honest, hardworking, and that a smart person asks questions. He loved annual tobogganing on Christmas Day for all the nieces and nephews, building snow forts for his great nieces and nephews, and the 4th of July gatherings with huge fireworks for neighbors and friends.
Paul loved life and he loved his family. Through the years his family grew from being an only child to a much larger family of Heglands, wonderful neighbors, so many good friends, and his Harley family, of which all loved and supported him on this life?s journey.
We want to thank all of you for your unending kindness and compassion.
