Jerome Allen Faul was born on October 23, 1935 on the family farm near Harvey, ND. He was the son of Alfred and Frances (Isaak) Faul. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from the Harvey High School in 1953. He married Agnes Frank and they were married for 61 years. They made their home north of Denhoff where they raised their family.
Jerome loved life and all it's opportunities. He had a good business mind and always enjoyed a new challenge. He made friends easily and had a spirit for adventure.
In his early years he raced cars and snowmobiles, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He made annual snowmobile trips to West Yellowstone with family and friends. Even after the West Nile virus limited his mobility, his strong determination to stay active was seen by him strapping his walker onto his snowmobile so he could continue to ride or by having one of the guys hoist him up with the forklift into a tractor or combine.
As his physical abilities continued to limit him, he turned his social interest towards NASCAR and the daily quarter game with good friends at the Table of Knowledge.
He loved farming but did have other business ventures including a plumbing and excavating business, a car dealership, and a farm machinery business.
His family loved him and he enjoyed watching as the family and farm continued to grow. He had a special connection to each one from the oldest to the youngest, whether it was by giving business advice to his kids and grandkids, or rides on his handicapped scooter to the great grandchildren.
He remained an important part of the farming operation, helping out wherever he could or sometimes just by joining the family out in the field for supper during harvest. Jerome and Agnes enjoyed spending winters in Arizona for the past several years.
Jerome was a member of the United Community Baptist Church, Anamoose, ND.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Agnes; son, Michael (Bonnie) of rural McClusky, daughter, Becky (Brian) Thomas of rural Denhoff; grandchildren and great-grandchildren;
