On January 23, 2018, Elizabeth Ann Musgrove, 93, of Freeland, Maryland died peacefully at the Misericordia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in York, PA. Daughter of the late Wilbur Francis Musgrove (1900-1955) of Montgomery County Maryland and Laura Matson Clark (1901-1986) of Camden New Jersey and sister of the late Albert Francis Musgrove (1925-1999) of Tampa Florida, she is survived by her beloved daughter, Linda Corinne Mistler of Freeland Maryland, her adopted children, Elizabeth Brewer Rudell Palmer (Platt) and Donald Millard Platt, Jr., her grandchildren Corinne Elizabeth Deans (Rudell), Jeremy Rudell, Ashton Rudell, Alexandra Palmer, Timothy Palmer and her nephew Albert Francis Musgrove II and his children. Elizabeth's body has been donated to the Maryland Anatomy Board. Friends and family will be notified of memorial service arrangements at a later date. Elizabeth Ann Musgrove was born in Camden, New Jersey in 1924, married Warren George Mistler (1920-2010), a Naval Officer from Kingston, Massachusetts in 1945 and lived in Alameda, California where their daughter, Linda Corinne Mistler was born. In 1951 Elizabeth Ann and her daughter Linda moved back to the east coast where they lived with her aunt, Anna Brewer Musgrove Richardson (1895-1971) in Sunshine, Maryland until 1963 when Elizabeth Ann married Donald Millard Platt and adopted two children, Elizabeth Ann Brewer Platt, born 23 August 1965 and Donald Millard Platt, Jr., born 13 August 1968. In 1976 Elizabeth Ann moved to Freeland, Maryland, an area in northern Baltimore County, Maryland where she lived until her death. She will long be remembered for her many years of active service in hereditary societies, including State Regent of the Maryland State Society Daughters of the American Revolution 1997-2000, State President of the Maryland State Society Colonial Dames 17th Century 1996-1998 and a state officer in: Maryland State Society Daughters of American Colonists, United States Daughters of 1812, and Daughters of Colonial Wars. Additionally she was a member of The Order of the Crown of Charlemagne, National Society Americans of Royal Descent, National Society Daughters of the Barons of Runnemede with important verified distinctions of Knights of the Garter, Ladies of the Garter and Knights of Bath, National Society Dames of the Court of Honor, Colonial Dames of America Chapter 22, and the Order of the Eastern Star. Elizabeth Ann was Master Gardener through the University of Maryland, a member of St. James Episcopal Church of Monkton, Maryland and enjoyed genealogical research, needlework and playing bridge.
