Orval H. Kimmle, an educator at Wesclin High School in Trenton for more than 30 years, died Monday, July 11, 2005, of congestive heart failure at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville. He was 64 and lived in Trenton. A native of Troy, Mr. Kimmle graduated from O'Fallon Township High School and received a bachelor's from McKendree College in Lebanon. He obtained a master's from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 1966. While attending McKendree College, Mr. Kimmle met Joellen Minton of the island of Aruba. The couple married in 1963. Mr. Kimmle had taught history and coached basketball for a year in Tamaroa, Ill., when he joined Wesclin in 1963. Over the years, he taught science, physical education, driver's education and served as the school's head basketball coach. Mr. Kimmle retired in 1994, but continued to work as a substitute teacher until 2004
Mr. Kimmle was a member at St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton for more than 40 years. Among survivors are his wife, Joellen Kimmle; a son, David Kimmle of Highland; two daughters, Dianalyn Ouellette of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Debbie Hall of Vandalia; a brother, Alvin Kimmle of Grove, Okla.; and nine grandchildren. A funeral was Friday at St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton. Burial was in Trenton Cemetery. Memorials contribution may be made to St. John United Church of Christ, 27 North Walnut, Trenton, Ill., 62293; D.A.R.E. Program at the Trenton City Police Department, 25 West Indiana, Trenton, Ill., 62293; or a charity of donor's choice.

Funeral service will be held on Friday July 15 at 10:00 am at St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton with Rev. Tom Perl officiating. Interment Trenton Cemetery
Visitation will be held on Thursday July 14 from 4 to 9 PM and on Friday July 15 from 8 to 9:45 am at the Moss Funeral home in Trenton
