  [S927] Obituary. MRS. KATIE B. SHOWALTER, 83, Maugansville, Md., died Monday evening in the Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, after an illness of two weeks. She was born February 10, 1883, in Franklin County, daughter of the late Peter and Martha (Grove) Shank. Mrs. Showalter was a member of the Reiff Mennonite Church, Cearfoss, Md. Surviving are her husband, Alvah M. Showalter, and five children: Mrs. Adam R. Martin, Maugansville; Mrs. George M. Keener, Hagerstown R.D. 2 ; Mrs. Clifford C. Oberholzer, Greencastle R.D. 3; Mrs. Edgar M. Keener, Hagerstown R.D. 6, and Roy M. Showalter, Maugansville. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Rhoda M. Showalter, Hagerstown R.D. 6. Services will be held Thursday from the Reiff Mennonite Church at 2 p.m. with interment in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may call at the Minnich-Miller Funeral Home, Greencastle, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. or at the church one hour before the service. The family requested that flowers be omitted.
