Max G. Fliehman, age 74, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Saturday July 21, 2018 at the Monroe County Care Center Woodsfield. He was born in Caldwell, Ohio March 13, 1944 a son of the late Glenn and Mildred Cline Fliehman.
Max was particularly proud of his work on all the giant shovels he help build in the Ohio Valley at Hanna Coal Company. Max owned and operated two restaurants in Woodsfield, owned and operated J & M Auto Sales, was in the Real Estate and Insurance business. He was a multi- talented man and a good provider for his family.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a nephew Lyle Fisher.
He is survived by his wife Dixie Howell Fliehman of Woodsfield, children; Tamara Dee (John) Lynch, Jason Chadwick Fliehman, Tara Nicole (Thomas) Baxley, step children; Melanie (Troy) Kemp, and Sarah South, grandchildren; Wyatt, Morgan, and Gracie Lynch, Ahna Carolyn Fliehman, Dylan Chadwick Fliehman, Derek Valkovic, Maddie, Lanie, Emmie, and Will Baxley, step grandchildren; John (Casey) Kemp, Eric and Kyle Kemp, and Phin Hayes, 2 great grandchildren; Colt Schmidbauer, and Jackson Kemp, two sisters; Linda Kaye (Larry) Fisher, and Mollie K. (Larry) Conley.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. Tuesday July 24, 2018 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul Street, Woodsfield, Ohio with Rev. David Cottrell officiating. Interment at the convenience of the family.
Max requested that Memorial contribution be made to the Monroe Theater, c/o Monroe Arts Council, 118 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio 43793.
