Obituary of Judy Kirschenman
KIRSCHENMAN JUDY
Judy Kirschenman age 63 of Yankton, SD passed away early Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at her residence under hospice care. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home & Crematory, Yankton, SD with Rev. Paige Besse-Rankin officiating. Judy Kay Kirschenman (Myers) passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer in the early morning hours of April 18, 2018 with her husband and daughter by her side.
Judy was born August 18, 1954 in Yankton, SD to Don and Beverly (Whittecar) Myers. Judy and her six siblings grew up in Yankton where their mother was a telephone operator and her father managed the movie theater. Even in her recent years, she always enjoyed going to the show.
Judy married Daryl (Vince) Kirschenman on March 4, 1978. For their first few years of marriage, they traveled around the region while Daryl worked construction. They welcomed their daughter Sara into the world on March 29, 1982. Judy spent 15 years loving and caring for the sisters in the Sacred Heart Monastery infirmary. She also loved helping to take care of her granddaughters when they were young. They spent numerous hours crafting, singing and reading together. Judy really enjoyed watching the grandkids in their dance recitals and sporting events.
Judy is survived by her loving husband Daryl (Vince) Kirschenman of 40 years, daughter Sara (Aaron) Crisman, grandchildren Kaylin, Hannah, Liam Crisman, siblings Mary Sue (Jim) Vollmer of Avon, SD, Donett (Lyle) Parish of Yankton, SD, Danny Myers of Sioux Falls, Jimmy (Lori) Myers of Yankton, Margie Myers of Sioux Falls, SD and Robert (Dee) Myers of Minot, ND and numerous nieces, nephews and many loving friends.
Those loved ones preceding Judy in death include her parents Don Myers and Beverly Myers-Brown, infant daughter, infant grandson Aidan Crisman, nephew William Parish and great nephew Joseph Livingston.
