Burial will be at Medicine Hill Cemetery in Harrold.Mayo Sadler was born Nov. 23, 1923, to George and Emma (Holland) Sadler in Dixie, Ga. She grew up in Brooks County, Ga., where she attended school. She married Alvin Kirschenmann on Nov. 14, 1943, in Dixie, Ga. After their marriage, Alvin and Mayo jumped a train to Alvins farm southwest of Harrold where they made their home. To this union, five children were born. After Alvins death in 1974, Mayo resided on the farm until 1987, when she moved to Pierre to be closer to some of her children. Mayo was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a caretaker for many individuals for several years.
