George Emineth
George Emineth, 76, Bismarck, died June 19, 2000 at his home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at Church of Corpus Christi with the Rev. Steve Zastoupil officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from noon-8 p.m. Thursday at Bismarck Funeral Home, with a rosary service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. George was born on Oct. 8, 1923 the son of Sebastian and Rose (Kuntz) Emineth in Blue Grass. He moved with his parents to Brisbane where he grew up and attended country school. He was a boxer in the early 40's in the CCC's. He worked at the J.C. Penney's Garage as a mechanic for many years until the garage was closed. He then worked for Vance Pressler at Century Motors as a mechanic until his retirement. George married Alice Mae Stewart on June 24, 1953 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Carson. He loved hunting, fishing and some traveling. He was survived by his wife, Alice; one son, Kevin Emineth, Bismarck; one grandson, Russell Emineth; four brothers and five sisters-in-law, Joe and Violet Emineth, Bismarck, Vincent and Dorothy Emineth, Amenia, Christ and Audrey Emineth, Bemidji, Minn., Edwin and Arlene Emineth, Bismarck, and Lucille Emineth, Mandan; six sisters and four brothers-in-law, Maggie Moser, Larimore, Katie Bertelson, Williston, Florence and Wilbert Verworn, Moorhead, Minn., Eva and Elgar Finck, Elgin, Pauline and Harold Johnson, Minneapolis, and Barbara and Willie Braun, Bismarck; and special friends, Douglas Buck and Jim Zander. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Gary; five brothers and one sister; and three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. (Bismarck Funeral Home)
