Obituary for Gary Martin Himmelspach
Gary Himmelspach, age 60, of Marshall, Minnesota, formerly of Mandan, North Dakota, died unexpectedly on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at his home in Marshall. Vigil will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, February 16, 2018. Funeral service is 10:30 am Saturday, February 17, 2018, at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church (108 3rd Ave NE, Mandan, ND 58554) with Fr. Campbell officiating. Following the service, luncheon is at the Mandan Eagles Club (1400 Collins Ave, Mandan, ND 58554). Interment will be in the Mandan Union Cemetery.
Gary Martin Himmelspach was born on October 31, 1957, to Martin and Bernice (Mosbrucker) Himmelspach and raised in Mandan, ND, He graduated Mandan Senior High and from BSC with an associate degree in Power Plant Processing. With his new career in life, Gary and his wife, Linda (Bailey) Himmelspach moved their family to Marshall, MN.
Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing horseshoes, golfing, collecting coins, watching movies and spending time with his family, laughing and playing board games and cards.
Gary died on February 10, 2018, at the age of 60 years, 3 months, and 10 days. Blessed be his memory.
Gary is survived by his loving family: his wife of 18 years, Linda; daughters, Sharon (Ray) Bickford, Theresa (Justin) Jacobs; son, Marty Himmelspach (Ashly Benson); and, is blessed with two daughters through marriage, Michelle (Jon) Arntz, Lisa Bailey; grandchildren he adored and always had a story to tell about them, Elyssa Bickford, Aubrey Tocci, Gabriella Jacobs, Lilliana Jacobs, Jace Jacobs, Josh (Danielle) Arntz, Keri Arntz, Tiffany Bailey, Britney Bailey; mother, Bernice Himmelspach; siblings, Sandy Dirk, Nancy (Nick) Miller, Steve (Mary) Himmelspach, Tim Himmelspach, Randy (Chris) Himmelspach, Rick (Sandi) Himmelspach, Sherri (Kelly) Surerus, Pam (Brian) Schafer; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Gary is proceeded in death by his father, Martin Himmelspach; two brothers-in-law, Todd Helbling, Mainard Dirk; his grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.
