She graduated from high school in McClusky in 1942.Helen met the love of her life, Olaf Donald Botnen, in McClusky at the restaurant where she worked. They were married on Dec. 7, 1951, in Valley City, N.D. In December of 1952, they moved to Glendive, where they resided and raised their three boys until 1973, when they moved to Billings.Helen loved spending time with her friends, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her later years, she became obsessed with reading and making jewelry. She also loved traveling with family, the highlight of her travels being a Caribbean Cruise.Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, eight brothers and three sisters.Helen is survived by her three sons, Bill (Betty), Dick and Bob (Sue), all of Billings. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Josh, Rachel (Pat), Rhiannon, Craig (Amanda), Tessa, Hayley; and four great-grandchildren, Paige, Zoey, Gabriel and Layla.The family would like to thank the staff at Aspen Meadows for their loving care of our beloved mother.Cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of her life at Bill & Betty???s house on Sunday, April 25, at 1 p.m.Arrangements are by Cremation & Funeral Gallery. Family Members Parents Fred J.
