Dietrich, 86, of Varna, IL, a teacher for several years in the Science Hill School near Deer Creek, died at 7:55 a.m. yesterday (September 12, 1989) at Heartland Health Care Center, Henry, IL, where she had been a resident for six weeks.Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Washburn Christian Church, Washburn, IL, the Rev. Bob Jassman officiating.Burial will be in Olio Township Cemetery, Eureka, IL.Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Newton Funeral Home at Varna, IL.Mrs. Dietrich was born December 31, 1902, at Tremont, IL, a daughter of Henry and Rosa Serpette Schrenk.She married Henry F. Dietrich on November 27, 1924, at Danvers. He survives.Other survivors include one son, Henry F. Jr., Varna; one daughter, Myra Holmstrom, Farmington; seven grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.Mrs. Dietrich attended Illinois State Normal University, Normal, IL. She was a former member of the Deer Creek Woman's Club and the Varna Home Bureau.
