She was a well-known real estate sales person for Independent Realty and the wife of William “Buck” Lennex. Barbara was born in Higginsport, Ohio, on August 2, 1942, a daughter of Ethelene Bartlett Prather, of Maysville, and the late William Prather. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a member of Higginsport Christian Church, but loved the Shannon United Methodist Church, where her family attended and her father, William, and grandparents, Florence and Albert Prather, are buried. Barbara loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.Survivors other than her husband and mother include: a son, Glenn (Robin) Nichols, of Moscow, Ohio; a step-son, Billy Lennex, of Orlando, Florida; two sisters, Patricia (Michael) Massie and Billie J. (Eugene) Peters, both of Maysville; several nieces and nephews, including Dr. David (Jane) Dome, Christopher Stapleton, Damone (Treyson) Greene, Tina Blank (Jeremy) and Cheyenna Fowler (Jeremy); and sisters-in-law, Marge Hargett and Nettie (Bill) Howard. She was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Johnston.Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 22, at Shannon United Methodist Church. Family visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by open visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will be in Confidence Cemetery, in Georgetown, Ohio. Serving as pallbearers are David Dome, Chris Stapleton, Damone Greene, Eugene Peters, Jeremey Harris and Chris Prather. Honorary pallbearer is Michael Massie.
