EXETER TOWNSHIP - William John Lambrix Sr., 59, of Exeter Township, a former Exeter Township treasurer, died Sunday at home.Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. today and from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Carleton, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home and 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carleton. The Rev. Robert A. Bauer, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Carleton. Graveside services will be under the auspices of the Carleton Post 4093, Veterans of Foreign Wars.Born Feb. 17, 1947, in Trenton, he was the son of Jacob and Mildred (Bruck) Lambrix. He married Linda McLaughlin July 2, 1971, in Monroe.He was a lifelong resident of Carleton.He served in the Marines during the Vietnam war, from 1966 to 1967.He was a 1965 graduate of Monroe Catholic Central High School.He was the owner and operator of a truck for 29 years. He also worked eight years at the Visteon plant in Ypsilanti. He was Exeter Township treasurer for four years during the 1980s.He was a member of the Carleton Post 4093, VFW.He also enjoyed hunting, card playing, farming and visiting his cabin in northern Michigan.Surviving are three sons, William (Debra) Lambrix Jr., Jacob (Tina) Lambrix and Bobby (June) Lambrix, all of Carleton; a brother, Ken Lambrix of Carleton; a sister, Susan Giles of Woodinville, Wash., and seven grandchildren.Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans.He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather, Leo Owens.
