Neil passed away on October 21, 2018 at the Sanford Palliative Care Center in Fargo, ND.
Neil was born November 9, 1956 in Richardton, ND to Reiny and Emily (Lenz) Hoff. He grew up in Taylor, ND, Stanley, ND, Brockton, MT and Culbertson, MT, before his family finally settled in McIntosh where he attended Jr. High and High School.
Neil graduated in 1975 from McIntosh High School, and worked for a farmer for a while. He moved to Lemmon, SD in 1976 and started working for Great Plains Supply until it closed. He then went to work for NW Supply. He worked for them until he was diagnosed with Leukemia and was no longer able to work. His career between Great Plains and Northwest Supply spanned 40 plus years.
Neil enjoyed playing pool. He was on a pool league in Lemmon for years. He enjoyed fishing, watching the Vikings, his lifelong football team, the Twins and helping family and friends with whatever building project they had to do. Neil always enjoyed and looked forward to movie night with his co-workers. He had a special bond with his co-workers. He was known to bring some great food dishes to work for his co-workers to enjoy. He enjoyed cooking and always made way too much. His three grandchildren when younger would visit him sometimes at work and they always knew he would have a candy bar in his desk drawer.
He is survived by his son Travis (LeeAnn) Hoff, grandchildren Britny, Landon and Connor, brother Alan (Pat) Hoff of McIntosh, SD, sisters Sharon (Jerome) Seiler of McIntosh, SD, and Betty (Paul) Schaefer of Grimes, Iowa and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother.
