Bio: Joanna Humes Marsh, 82, of Venus, died Saturday July 21, 2007, in theGolden Living Center, Oil City.Born Sept. 5, 1924, in McKees Rocks, she was the daughter of Williamand Ada Carroll Humes.Mrs. Marsh was a resident of the McKees Rocks area for 38 beforemoving to Venus late in her life.She had been employed at several department stores in the Pittsburgharea.Mrs. Marsh was a member of the Fertigs United Methodist Church inFertigs.She enjoyed taking care of her pet cats.Mrs. Marsh was married Dec. 28, 1974, in the Allison Park Church,Mount Royal Blvd., to Donald Marsh, who preceded her in death Oct. 18,2002.Surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.Friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the FallerFuneral Home Inc. in Fryburg.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral homewith the Rev. John Hickman, pastor of the Fertigs United MethodistChurch, officiating.Interment will take place in the Mount Auburn Cemetery in FayetteCounty.The family suggests memorials be made to the Fertigs United MethodistChurch.Published in The Derrick. - July 2007
