He moved to MT in 1906 where he homesteaded on Cherry Creek. In 1928 he was married to Irene Davis and of this marriage were born two children, Robert and Teresa Berger. Mr and Mrs Berger were later divorced and the children now live with their mother in Vancouver WA. In 1928 the deceased moved to Terry with his family and he was making his home here at the time of his death.Survivors also include four brothers and two sisters. The brothers are Frank, Christ and William of Tacoma WA, and Adam of Terry. The sisters are Anna Shaw of Flasher ND, and Teresa Schmidt of Tacoma WA.Pallbearers for the funeral were John Talarski, Adam Talarski, Joe Kreig, Fred Knopp, Emanuel Spidel, and Don Young.
