Dorothy P. Heizelman
Dorothy Petina Heizelman, 89, died Dec. 5, 2002, at her Longview home.
She was born March 17, 1913, in Sawyer, N.D., to Ephram and Anna (Gronwold) Sullivan. She married Otto Heizelman Feb. 14, 1934 and they lived in Minot, N.D., until moving to Longview in 1951.
Mrs. Heizelman's greatest joy was taking care of her family and working in her yard. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed sewing for her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a granddaughter, Sheri Fix Kasson; a grandson, Sam Heerensperger; four brothers, Arthur , Robert, Archie and Edvin Sullivan; and a sister, Lydia Auck.
Survivors include five daughters, Darlene Fix of Kalama, Shirley Starke and Geraldine "Gerry" Morgan, both of Seattle, Carol Mus of Vancouver and Donna Samuels of Portland; a sister, Helen Howe of Velva, N.D.; caregiver, Christine Skuja of Longview; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Steele Chapel with the Rev. Ted Cotten officiating. Entombment will take place at Longview Memorial Park.
