Bio: Patsy A. Herrin, 78, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, after a struggle with cancer.Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Monday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Funeral Home.Memorials: Expressions of sympathy may be made to American Cancer Society , 3301 West Freeway, Fort Worth, Texas 76107; Shady Oaks Baptist Church, 1336 Cavender Drive, Hurst, Texas 76053; or Alzheimer's Association , Tarrant County Chapter, P.O. Box 9709, Fort Worth, Texas 76147.Patsy was born Aug. 7, 1931, in San Antonio to Vance and Jewell Baty. She graduated from Little Rock High School in Little Rock, Ark., class of 1948. Patsy received her bachelor's degree from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas. She taught at Tarrant County College, Northeast Campus, Hurst. Patsy was a member of Shady Oaks Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her parents, Vance and Jewell Baty.Survivors: Sons, Paul Herrin and wife, Sharla, and Jay Herrin and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Josh Herrin, Kyle Suggs, Candice Herrin and Dylan Herrin; sister, Jo Ann Meador; and two nieces.Published in Star-Telegram on January 2, 2010
