Bio: Doris E. Hahn (January 26, 1920 - May 5, 2010) Doris E. Hahn, age 90 of Wolverine passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Tendercare of Cheboygan. She was born January 26, 1920 in Johannesburg, MI to William and Stella (Joles) Welsh. On January 18, 1941 in Wolverine, Doris married Arthur C. "Bud" Hahn who preceded her in death on September 21, 2009. In the mid 1930s, Doris worked as a telephone operator for Michigan Bell Telephone Co. In Wolverine. She was a member of the Wolverine Baptist Church for many years and enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and was an avid Detroit Tigers baseball fan. Survivors include her children, Gerald (Nancy) Hahn of Wolverine, Gordon Hahn, also of Wolverine, Rosemary Hahn of Indian River, Russell (Shelia) Hahn of Wolverine, Ken Hahn of Indian River and Larry (Jody) Hahn of Gaylord, two brothers, Fred Welsh and Richard (Louise) Story, 10 grandchildren and17 great grandchildren. Besides her husband Bud, Doris was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Gordon Welsh and a sister, Shirley Pemberton. The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 10, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Christian Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the funeral. Doris' son, Russell will conduct the funeral service and burial will take place in Silver Lake Cemetery in Wolverine. Memorial contributions in Doris' name may be directed to her family.
