Eric D. Matheny Shelbyville Eric D. Matheny, 40, of Shelbyville, passed away at 7:35 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008, in the Heritage Manor in Pana, IL. Eric was born December 26, 1967, in Taylorville, the son of Don and Linda Miller Matheny. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #53 of Shelbyville and the Ansar Shrine. Eric was employed as a power meter man by Home Depot Supply Co. in Mattoon and was a member of the IBEW. He was a collector of Sport Cards and was an avid NASCAR fan, especially Dale Earnhardt Jr. and he loved to bowl. Surviving are his mother and step-father Linda and Avgary Kehias of Pana, IL; father and step-mother Don and Sue Matheny of Shelbyville; step-brothers: George Kehias and wife Lois of Dayton, OH, Lawrance Kehias and partner Lance Miller of Minneapolis, MN and Richard Kehias and wife Carrie of Pana; step-sister Kathy Grobe of Chicago, IL; several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved cat Tigger. The family requests your presence at a memorial service to celebrate the life of Eric at 10:30 AM Saturday, March 15, 2008, in the First Christian Church of Shelbyville. Rev. Kevin Ray, Rev. Marilyn Rauch and Rev. Richard Eident will officiate. The family will receive friends at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Please join the family for fellowship and sharing of memories of their dear one. Memorials can be made to the American Brain Tumor Association or Doctors Without Borders. The family is being assisted by Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville.
